Overview
Epoxy and resin flooring is a coating system built up over a mechanically prepared slab. Correctly specified, it delivers a seamless, impervious surface that resists chemicals, withstands forklift traffic and cleans down to a hygienic standard. Incorrectly specified, it fails — and it almost always fails for the same two reasons: inadequate surface preparation, or a build-up chosen for price rather than for the environment it has to survive.
We specify from the environment backwards. Chemical exposure, thermal shock, point loading, washdown regime and slip requirements determine the primer, the body coat, the aggregate and the topcoat. We will tell you when a cheaper build-up is genuinely sufficient, and when it is going to cost more to replace than to do once.

What we will tell you up front
Coating failure is a preparation failure. Applying resin over an unprepared, contaminated or wet slab will produce a floor that delaminates, regardless of the quality of the product used. We mechanically prepare and moisture test every substrate before coating, and we will decline to coat a slab with an unresolved moisture problem rather than coat a floor we expect to fail.
