Overview
Burnishing refines the existing concrete surface rather than cutting into it. The slab is densified with lithium silicate and then progressively burnished at high speed to close and harden the surface. Because there is no grinding stage, there is no aggregate exposure and significantly less program time than a fully polished floor.
That makes it the practical choice on large floor plates where the specification calls for a clean, hard-wearing, low-maintenance surface rather than a decorative one — warehouse offices, back-of-house corridors, circulation space and public areas.

What we will tell you up front
Burnishing does not correct slab imperfections. Trowel marks, colour variation, patching and surface defects present in the slab will remain visible in the finished floor. Where a slab has defects that matter to the specification, grinding is the honest answer — we will say so rather than burnish over a problem.
