Food & Beverage Grade Flooring in Adelaide

A food-grade floor has to survive daily caustic washdown, hot water or steam, and an auditor. Seamless is not a preference here — every joint, crack and floor-to-wall junction is a place bacteria can sit, and that is what gets written up.

  • Seamless systems with coved skirtings
  • Polyurethane cement (PU-C) for hot washdown environments
  • Specified to suit HACCP-audited production areas
  • Chemical resistance matched to your cleaning regime
  • Falls to drain and drain detailing
  • Slip resistance to a specified R rating (AS 4586)

What decides the specification

01

Seamless, with coved junctions

The floor turns up the wall in a coved skirting so there is no square junction to trap product. Drains are detailed into the system, not cut around it.

02

Thermal shock

Steam cleaning and hot product spill will delaminate a standard epoxy. Where washdown is hot, a polyurethane cement build-up is the correct specification and we will say so.

03

Chemical resistance

Caustic cleaners, food acids, fats and sanitisers each attack coatings differently. The build-up is chosen against your actual cleaning regime.

04

Falls to drain and slip resistance

Wet floors need both a working fall and a tested slip classification. Both are specified, not assumed.
